For this March 2020 playlist: Hello My Old Heart, I wanted to feel like I had something folksy + earthy to kick-off spring. February was all about finding positive vibes in the music to lift us up out of the winter drearies, but as the green is slowly shooting up this March. This playlist is going to remind me to be present during my walks in the Louisville Botanical Gardens and to enjoy all the little things we take for granted.
To start off, The Wolves and the Ravens is the perfect folk spring song. Although it came out in 2011, it’s earthy melody is new to me! By the band ‘Rogue Valley’, named after a gorgeous spot out in Oregon, I’ll be adding them to my rotations! Just further fueling my travel daydreams, the best song on this playlist is without a dought: ‘When the End Comes‘ – Andrew Belle. I could listen to it over and over. His voice kind of sounds like a folk version of Matt Kearney and I’m here for it.
